Distributed Energy Resources

Windforce Technology controllers continuously monitor and manage all energy resources including solar, wind, battery energy storage systems, diesel/gas generators, and hydrogen-based systems. Operation of hybrid power plants is autonomous via machine learning (ML) algorithms, and system architecture is de-centralized and modular ensuring distributed energy resources continue to operate regardless of individual sub-system power source failure or other external factors and events.

Off-Grid

Unlock advanced energy management and control functions including seamless on-/off-grid transitions, renewables-only recharging, zero diesel operation, power sharing with gensets, live synchronization and more.

Our control systems are brand agnostic enabling easy integration with any solar photovoltaic system, battery energy storage system, wind turbine, diesel/gas generator, or hydrogen system. We can pre-program our controllers for any application to enable out-of-the-box operation.

On-Grid

Integrated Main Circuit Breaker Controls

Control sub-system main circuit breakers automatically via parameter-based configurations or manually at the push of a button. Setup main circuit breaker controls for solar, wind, battery storage, and grid connections for complete control of hybrid power plants.

Incorporate solar photovoltaic, wind turbines, diesel/gas gen-sets, hydrogen-based systems, and battery energy storage systems with grid interface.

Hybrid On-/Off-Grid

Build complex "multi-hybrid" power plants including battery energy storage, solar photovoltaic, wind turbines, and diesel/gas generators with on-grid and off-grid flexibility. Ideal for Ai data centers and mission critical facilities. Full integration with our SCADA software and HMIs for data visualization and reporting.

High complexity controllers can be pre-programmed for each power source or hybrid system including parameters to enable plug-and-play connectivity. We can also build customized controller sub-assemblies and control panels including power supplies, transformers, circuit breakers, and extensive I/O in low and high volume quantities.

What are Distributed Energy Resources?

Distributed Energy Resources, also known as DERs, are small-scale units of local power generation that operate in conjunction with, or independently of, the larger power grid. DERs are usually situated close to loads and serve as resources for power generation.
